Who we are
Goose & Gantry (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Goose & Gantry LLC, builds websites and local marketing for home-service businesses in the Greater Indianapolis area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through gooseandgantry.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. Questions? Email team@gooseandgantry.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit our contact or quote form, we collect your name, business name, email, phone number, trade, the service you are interested in, your message, how you prefer to be reached, and (optionally) how you heard about us.
- Information collected automatically. With your consent, analytics tools collect usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, referring source). By default we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the full inventory and how to change your choices.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and timestamps) for security, debugging, and reliability.
How we use information and our legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases (Article 6):
- Responding to your inquiry and preparing a quote. The legal basis is a contract, or the steps we take at your request before entering one.
- Operating, securing, and improving the site, including spam and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
- Analytics and marketing. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Meeting legal obligations, which means complying with applicable law.
Service providers we share data with
We share personal information with the following processors only as needed to run the site and our business, under agreements requiring appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information for money.
- Supabase: database and authentication (stores lead submissions).
- Resend: transactional email (lead notifications and your confirmation message).
- Vercel: hosting and cookieless analytics.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: spam and bot protection, subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Google Analytics: web analytics (only if we enable it and you consent).
Text messaging
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
If you give us your phone number and choose text as your preferred way to be reached on our contact form, you are opting in to text messages from us. We only use texts to reply about your inquiry or your project. We don’t send marketing texts.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out, at any time. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Our Text Messaging Terms cover the rest.
When you opt in, we keep a record of the choice you made, when you made it, and the exact wording you were shown. That record is how we can show your consent was given, and it stays with your lead record. If you reply STOP, we record that too, and the record of your original opt-in is kept in our internal log so both the consent and the opt-out stay provable.
International transfers
Our providers are primarily based in the United States. Where personal information is transferred from outside the U.S., we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep lead submissions for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, and no longer than 24 months after our last interaction with you unless you ask us to delete sooner, or a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained according to each provider’s settings.
Text messaging consent is the exception. We keep the record of an opt-in, and of any opt-out, for at least four years after it is given, because that is how long a claim about a text message can be brought. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we keep only that consent record and tell you so.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing,” and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email team@gooseandgantry.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, certain analytics and advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” or a “sale” under California law. You can opt out by setting your cookie preferences to reject Marketing cookies, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing automatically.
Children’s privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new effective date here, and material changes will prompt you to review your cookie choices again.
